Welcome to Casa de Gopala

Conveniently located in the heart of Playa del Carmen, Paraiso Azul's Casa de Gopala is a small hotel that for years has been a favorite destination of budget minded travelers from around the world seeking clean, comfortable, and reasonable priced accommodations. Many of our guests are repeat visitors that first stayed with us years ago, long before Playa evolved into the popular tourist resort of today.

Accommodation

The 15 spacious rooms, designed with large arched windows and 10 foot high ceilings are unusually bright and airy. Each room has private bath, ceiling fan, security box, refrigerator and two double beds. 11 of our rooms also have air conditioning and cable TV. A terrace area outside each room, furnished with table and chairs is the perfect place to relax.

The master suite is the perfect accommodation for small families or groups. Amenities include a separate fully equipped kitchen, dining area with table, large bathroom, one king and one single sized bed, sitting area with a sofa that converts to a double bed, cable TV and air conditioning.

The studio suite or honeymoon suite has private bath room, a queen sized bed, a seating area with single bed, kitchenette, air conditioning, cable TV and lots of details and decorations.

Location

The hotel is located two blocks from the white sandy beach and blue Caribbean water, only a short stroll past interesting shops and restaurants. The bus station, post office, banks and the festive 5th Avenue pedestrian walkway are all within two blocks of the hotel.

Amenities

Guests are invited to enjoy the pool, restaurant and bar facilities of our good friends and neighbors at Casa Tucan, which is next to Casa de Gopala and connected by a private passage way.

Scuba Diving is offered with Yucatek Divers, right next door.
